Giving to the WCHAS
Thank you for your interest in donating an artifact, document, or making a financial contribution to the Winnebago County Historical & Archaeological Society. It is through the generosity of individuals like you that we are able to grow our collections, fund our museum and plan quality programs.
You can donate online or contact us about other options to make a financial contribution.
Donate Historic Items
Please take some time to review our Collection Policy to understand our mission and collection guidelines. You will need to fill out the donation application form below for any item(s) that will be donated. The Collections Committee will review your application and respond to you as soon as possible. Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis by the Collections Committee and handled by our collection manager.
We do not accept unsolicited items that are dropped off at our museum doorstep.
Donate to our Funds
The work of our society can only be sustained with your continued support. Here are some options available to help continue this work.
If you enjoy learning about our local history and are inspired to support the work to preserve it, you can contribute to any of these three funds. Read about our funds with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation and choose which one you would like to donate to.
Winnebago County Historical Society Fund
This fund is used to support numerous areas including educational programs and events, support and maintain the Society Collection, placement and designation of historic markers, the preservation of historical records, photos, artifacts and archival materials, historic library maintenance and restoration, provide financial support to efforts of neighboring local historical societies and organizations in Winnebago County.

The Morgan House
Historical Preservation Fund
Funds in this account are exclusively used for the maintenance and preservation of the Historic Morgan House property. In 2018 we will need to replace the driveway and start the process to plan for a new roof on Morgan House in the near future. Also included here is general repairs and maintenance to the house museum, carriage house and grounds.

The Constance Misky Endowment Fund
This fund was created by the estate of Constance Misky when the property ownership was transferred to the historical society in the 1980s. Use of this fund is exclusive to maintain the landscape of the Morgan House grounds. WCHAS is working with the Winnebago County Master Gardeners Association to include historic gardens that will both beautify and educate visitors.
